Grayson Silver, AIA

Managing Partner – Tampa + Director Vertical Mixed-Use + Director Student Housing

Grayson is at the helm of Baker Barrios Architects, leading the Tampa office as the Managing Partner and serving as the Vertical Mixed Use Practice Leader. With a focus on high-rise buildings and urban habitats, Grayson specializes in vertical mixed-use developments, seamlessly integrating residential, commercial, hospitality, entertainment, student housing, and retail spaces. Boasting over 9 years with the firm, his journey includes roles as Managing Principal and Principal, highlighting his commitment to design excellence.

Grayson’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Architectural Design from Clemson University and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Florida. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to quality, Grayson is a distinguished leader in shaping the architectural landscape.

Jed Prest

Jed Prest, AIA, LEED AP

Managing Partner – Orlando + Director Commercial Mixed-Use + Director K-12 Education

A Managing Partner at Baker Barrios Architects with 30 years of experience, Jed has worked on a diverse set of projects — including mixed-use, performance spaces, corporate, commercial, and civic buildings. He brings a collaborative vision to each project, with a particular focus on creating sustainable and healthy indoor spaces and overall responsible design. His measured approach and thoughtful consideration of every aspect of his work yields results that far exceed client expectations. 

Jed earned his Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technical Studies from Southern Illinois University, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Central Florida. Additionally. Jed holds a Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University. 

An active industry member, Jed has served as Vice-Chairman of the Orlando Historic Preservation Board and on the Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Orlando’s National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Michael Frohnappel

Michael Frohnappel, AIA

Managing Partner – Nashville + Director Hospitality and Entertainment

Michael Frohnappel leads the Entertainment and Hospitality practice for Baker Barrios. In his role, he supports external growth opportunities with theme parks, destination resorts, and major branded attractions worldwide. With more than 30 years in the architectural profession, Frohnappel offers invaluable experience in team leadership and project management — particularly in entertainment and attraction venues, comprehensive theme park design, and destination retail, food, and beverage districts.

His experience with globally recognized entertainment corporations including Universal Studios, Merlin Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, and Hard Rock Café paired with his knowledge and mastery of the industry is unsurpassed in the entertainment architectural profession. Frohnappel is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, NCARB, the Themed Entertainment Association and the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions.

Brad Lutz

Brad Lutz

Managing Principal – Chicago + Practice Leader Multifamily

Brad Lutz oversees our Chicago office as Managing Principal and Multifamily/Residential practice leader. Brad’s design experience has consisted primarily of projects in the multifamily and mixed-use sector across the US, totaling over $1B in project value.

His career focus — pairing client relations and project management centered around the early design and programming stages of a project — has allowed him to follow projects from inception to operation, identifying key lessons learned to continually improve deliverables and create optimized developments for the clients he serves.

As a practice leader at BBA, his background is leveraged by the entire team, helping to yield the innovative and high-quality work Baker Barrios is known and recognized for.
