Baker Barrios was among more than 700 teams from corporate and nonprofit sectors that laced up their sneakers, donned company T-shirts and tackled the 3.1-mile course around Lake Eola at last night’s IOA 5K event. If you think rush-hour traffic is the height of road congestion here in Orlando, the sight of 16,000 runners and walkers making their way down Central Boulevard might change your mind. More than $10,000 was pledged to the Track Shack Foundation and 20,000 meals were donated to Second Harvest Food Bank and the Christian Service Center, even before race time.
