Diversity is a key to the success of Baker Barrios, the Tampa Bay area, the state of Florida and the entire United States of America. It’s our differences that allow us to cast a wider net of knowledge and understanding, but also bring in the unique life experiences that we can share with our teams and communities while learning much from others along the way. As one of many diverse businesses in the Tampa Bay area, Baker Barrios is proud to have been ranked among the top-10 minority-owned businesses by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
This acknowledgment is not only an observation of our company’s cultural diversity all the way up to our most senior positions, but also our success as a business. Baker Barrios has also seen the 5th largest increase in revenue since 2015 (14.3%). Though it’s an honor to be recognized for our success, we also think this is a perfect opportunity to look at just how diverse Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties are when it comes to minority-owned businesses, which include Hispanic, African American and Asian entrepreneurs who complete the tapestry that makes American businesses thrive. It seems like, as a minority-owned business, we’re in good company.
