Just a short walk from Rollins College’s historic arches and connected to the Cornell Fine Arts museum, The Alfond Inn was built as a luxury, boutique destination for Rollins College visitors. Baker Barrios was behind its original architectural and interior design in 2013 — and we’re proud to have lead the expansion of this acclaimed hotel.

Best hotel in Florida (2022)
The award-winning Alfond Inn was originally intended for Rollins College families, visitors, and guest speakers. But in the decade since it opened, it has emerged as a destination all its own — earning an ultra-rare AAA Four Diamond rating and a runner-up title for Best Hotel in Florida from the Condé Nast Traveler. Its connection to the school doesn’t end there: profits from every stay are directed to the Alfond Scholars program, funding the next generation of artists, dreamers, and leaders.
For The Alfond Inn’s original design, Baker Barrios fused Old Florida charm with modern amenities. All 112 well-appointed rooms reflect this understated luxury, as does the 10,000 sq ft event space — the backdrop to weddings, conferences, and events of all sizes.
Hamilton’s Kitchen, the Alfond’s on-site restaurant, is inviting, warm, and comfortable, enhancing its already lauded dining experience. The expansion saw Baker Barrios add a wing onto the existing hotel, expanding Alfond Inn’s renowned hospitality capabilities while retaining the same award-winning design sensibilities.
