Creative Village is the culmination of over $700 million in development activity and serves as home base for Orlando’s thriving creative and digital media industry. Functioning as a true “live, work, learn, play” community, the neighborhood is home to Electronic Arts, the University of Central Florida and Valencia College Downtown Campus, and acclaimed eatery, The Monroe. The artfully inspired Julian Apartments round out the Creative Village experience, offering mixed-income refuge to the neighborhood’s creators.
The first phase of this project was completed in August 2022 — comprising 750,000 sq ft of educational space, the 176,000 sq ft Electronic Arts studio, 28,000 sq ft of ground floor commercial space, and the 2.3-acre Luminary Park. Phase II will see expanded office, mixed-income housing, and student housing offerings, in addition to the 175-room Moxy Hotel.
Social responsibility was at the heart of every project decision, with the Baker Barrios team exploring ways to design more efficiently while paying respect to the surrounding communities.
